What is CPR certification?

CPR Certification is your golden ticket to being a real-life superhero! It stands for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, and it's like learning the magical art of saving lives. In a nutshell, it's a formal recognition from the American Red Cross that you've mastered the skills to perform chest compressions and rescue breaths on someone who is in need.  A CPR and First Aid Certification is required by many employers and yourCPRtrainer is a licensed provider of the certification you need.  So, it's not just a piece of paper; it's your license to be an everyday hero! 🦸‍♂️

How long does a CPR certification last?

Typically, a CPR certification card is valid for about two years. After that, it's time to brush up on your life-saving skills with a CPR recertification course. It's like renewing your superhero license, ensuring you're up-to-date and ready to spring into action when needed.

What will I learn in a CPR certification course?

In a CPR certification course, you'll become a certified lifesaver with skills like chest compressions, rescue breaths, and how to use Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs). You'll also learn the art of first aid, age-specific techniques, and the importance of teamwork during emergencies. Plus, you'll get the lowdown on the legal and ethical aspects of CPR, so you'll be not just a card-carrying hero but a confident and ready one! 🦸‍♀️✨

Can I get a CPR certification for personal use or does it have to be for professional purposes?

You absolutely can get a CPR certification for personal use, and you don't need to be in a professional setting to do so. Many people choose to become CPR certified just to have the knowledge and skills to help friends, family, or even strangers in emergencies. It's a valuable life skill that can make a difference in critical situations, whether at home, in your community, or while traveling. So, whether you're interested in it for professional reasons or simply to be a capable lifesaver, CPR certification is for everyone! 🦸‍♀️💪

What is the difference between adult and pediatric CPR certification?

Adult CPR focuses on saving grown-ups with firm chest compressions, rescue breaths, and adult-sized equipment, while pediatric CPR is all about rescuing kids and infants with gentler chest compressions, careful rescue breaths, and pediatric-sized AED pads. The key difference lies in the patient's size and needs, so your choice of certification depends on who you're ready to be a hero for – adults or the little ones. With yourCPRtrainer, you get to practice on both an adult manikin and an infant so that in both cases, you're on a mission to save lives! 🦸‍♂️👶💪

What is your Refund Policy

Class fees and transfer fees are non-refundable, and no refunds will be issued. No credits will be issued for future courses.

Why is CPR certification important?

CPR certification is essential because in a life-or-death situation you'll have the power to save lives when every second counts. Whether it's a family member, a friend, or a stranger in need, your CPR skills can mean the difference between life and death. So, in short, CPR certification is important because it transforms you into a real-life hero, ready to act when it matters most! 🦸‍♀️💪

What are the different types of CPR certifications?

There are many types of certifications, and the right one for you really depends on your specific needs and the level of responsibility you have in terms of providing emergency care.  Our trainers offer CPR, AED and First Aid for Pediatric, Infant and Adults which satisfies the requirement for teachers and most general work locations, but check with your employer to make sure you sign up for the right certification.

What is Blended Learning

Online CPR courses are readily available, but it's important to note that many employers require hands-on training, which is a vital component for real-world CPR readiness. Blended learning, combining online and in-person instruction, is often preferred by employers and offered by reputable training providers. This approach allows individuals to complete most of the course from their location of choice and receive in-person training from a certified CPR instructor. For workplaces subject to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations, online-only certifications may not meet compliance standards. Many employers specifically recognize certifications from established organizations like the American Red, which typically require a blended learning approach rather than online-only training. It's essential to check your employer's specific CPR training requirements before enrolling in a course.

Will I receive a CPR certification card upon completion of the course?

Yes, upon successful completion of a CPR certification course, you'll typically receive a CPR certification card. This card serves as official proof that you've completed the training and are certified to perform CPR. It's like your "Lifesaver License" and shows that you have the skills to help in emergency situations. Just remember to keep it in a safe place, as you may need to present it as evidence of your certification to employers or organizations when required.

Is CPR certification the same as First Aid certification?

Think of it this way: CPR is like the superhero of heart and breathing emergencies, where you learn chest compressions and rescue breaths. AED swoops in with its shock therapy to help restart a wonky heart, and it's like your trusty sidekick in cardiac crises. First Aid is the all-around lifesaver, covering a whole bunch of medical skills, like patching up wounds, handling broken bones, and tackling various health hiccups. So, it's like assembling your own team of emergency response superheroes, each with its unique superpower! 🦸‍♂️💥
